Forest school
I have been a fresh school leader since I trained in 2004, and have delivered hundreds of sessions with a range of ages and abilities. I have also led summer camps and overnight camps for groups of children and families every summer since then.
In 2009 I wrote what is now a best selling and widely recommended forest school activity guidebook – I love my World. I am incredibly chuffed that one of my literary heroes, Michael Morpurgo said of it “This book is a must for all”
I provide forest school sessions or enrichment programs for any age in your school grounds, in woods near you, or ones that I use already.
The ethos of Forest School is that the education style is more child led, in groups of up to 16, and for the children to develop a long lasting relationship with themselves, each other and the place the forest school happens in – so I would say that six sessions is a bare minimum…and one day a term through out the year is best!
Creative Outdoor play and Learning
My way of providing creative outdoor play and learning sessions is very similar to forest school and has a playful often child led approach intersperses with more didactic style input. I offer narrative led learning, messy maths and science, wild music outdoors, problems solving, team building, mindfulness practices – a whole range of activities aimed at bringing health to people and, long term, hopefully the planet too!
I charge from £175 per day, or £35 per hour.
