Chris provides training courses for forest school leaders, play rangers and scout leaders in bushcraft skills, nature awareness games and activities, outdoor play and storytelling. Generally this has taken the form of a residential over a few days, with chance to practice skills on real live people near the end of the period of training.
Skills covered include nature awareness and games and activities, ways of making fire by friction, shelter making, knife, axe and pruning saw use, tracking, woodland bling and garden jewelery, wild food and wild medicine, campfire cookery, coppicing and rural skills as well as some storytelling activities for would-be storytellers. What’s included in a training is up to your needs; if you are hungry he can teach you about eating wild foods -straight off the trees!
Chris can provide everything from the venue and the catering, supplies necessary tools and occasional bad jokes. Contact chris for more details.

“We are Play Advisors working for East Devon District council as part of the ‘Off the Sofa Dayz’ project we organised Chris to provide our volunteers with Environmental Play training. We had a fantastic time and all our volunteers have asked for more!”
