Activities at Hunger Hill Yurts

Hello, it’s Chris Holland here,  Welcome to my website.

Thanks for clicking the link through from the Hunger Hill Yurts site.

As you see from the slideshow I offer a range of extra activities to people staying at Hunger Hill, all with the mental, physical and spiritual health benefits of time in Nature.

I am a nature guide and bushcraft teacher, forager, a storyteller, a team building facilitator and playful environmental educator living in East Devon. I aim to help you really connect to the local landscape and offer some truly wonderful experiences to compliment your time in Newton Poppleford.

Here are a few testimonials:

“Great thanks to you for an incredible experience in Devon. The morning with you was the highlight of the week. We loved every minute of it and will definitely do all we can to encourage our teams to engage with your special magic in future off-sites.“

“With gentle humour and wordsmithing skill Chris Holland leads you into a place of imaginative thoughtfulness and soulful smiles. His storytelling comes from an understanding and relationship with the earth that opens the listener’s senses to the natural world. Always a delight!

Thanks again for your work with us. You were quite a find!

These are some of the activities I offer, to give you a sample… and a bit like a hamper… we can pick and choose to create something together for your event, just for you and your family, group or organisation!

Shelter building on the common, how to make fire in any weather challenges, ‘how to rub sticks together to make fire’, nature awareness and nature connection games, spoon carving, string making, hedgerow packets, foraging walks and cook-up at the river, along the hedgerows or at the coast, a whole suite of fun music making activities and storytelling round the campfire, drumming tuition, didgeridoo lessons, bird language walks and courses, survival skills solos, barefoot style running “lopes”, fun environmental art and land art challenges….

Just right for birthdays and celebrations, team building and lazy days at Hunger Hills!

And here is a short video I made a few years ago with 12 ideas of something you can do for free!

What do I charge:

For my time I charge a minimum fee of £100, and for that you have me along for 2 hours…and it’s roughly £50 per hour after that.

You can contact me through this website or give me a call on 07980 601830

Thanks for dropping by and taking an interest in what I offer. I hope you hear from you in due course.
