These
wonderful experiences are a firm favourite with people of all ages.
Chris is now known as The Didgeridoo Man by hundreds of school children and
their teachers! The events can be a
simple performance all the way through to a weekend workshop and on to
week long residency. For full effect, and an extra donation of £20 to Survival International, Chris will get 'painted-up' and come in Aboriginal Style loin cloth and body paint! |
| An hour long workshop involves a display of about 10 didgeridoos, some Aboriginal Australian, some English and even some made from metal and plastic. Chris will play a bit, tell creation stories and some of the history and cultural significance of the didgeridoo. You will find out Aboriginal Australian names for the didgeridoo, why the kangaroo hops about these days and what happened when the first didgeridoo was played in the Dreamtime. |
| Then out comes the bag of practice didges! Up to 60 people can have a go all at once! Yes the noise will make you chuckle, and we do a lot of laughing as Chris takes you through the basics of playing and even gets the whole group telling a simple story with sound effects on the didge. All of this in an hour! |
|
This
kind of event is excellent for school classes, adult groups and corporate
entertainment, the possible clients types are endless. Chris even gets
called in to Prisons to
do sessions!

Chris has produced an hour long didgeridoo album called
Fundijeri. It is a fun and devotional expression of how Chris plays the
didge, and is accompanied by all kinds of instruments such as thumb pianos,
an old cast iron bath, and even a toothbrush. If you are game enough to
order one without hearing it you can return it if you really don't like it
and I will happily refund you the cost of the CD and postage. It's £10 plus
£1.50 postage. If you send me a cheque you have my word I will send you a
CD. To order one email me on
